Soccer Game Preview: Schenectady vs. Averill Park

Schenectady is 0-7 against Averill Park since September of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Golden Knights at 4:15 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Schenectady fell victim to Colonie Central and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Averill Park lost 4-1 to Shenendehowa on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Averill Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Shenendehowa are ranked fifth).

Schenectady's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Averill Park, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-3.
