Basketball Recap: Wilmington Charter Takes a Loss

Wilmington Charter lost against Newark Charter School back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wilmington Charter Force took a 71-53 bruising from the Newark Charter School Patriots.

Wilmington Charter has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Newark Charter School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

Coming up, Wilmington Charter will face off against Red Lion Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Newark Charter School, they will square off against MOT Charter at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. MOT Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Newark Charter School likes a good challenge.
