Volleyball Recap: Calaveras Comes Up Short

Calaveras lost against East Nicolaus back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Hawks fell 2-0 to the Spartans.

Among those leading the charge was Ashlynn Tagala, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Calaveras' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for East Nicolaus, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Calaveras will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lodi at 6:30 p.m. on September 4. As for East Nicolaus, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Quincy on the 23rd.
