North Mac hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 52-39 victory over the Carlinville Cavaliers on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Alepra, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Triston Thompson, who posted eight points.

North Mac's win bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Carlinville, they dropped their record down to 10-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, North Mac will face off against Pittsfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carlinville, they have already played their next game, a 46-33 victory against Lincolnwood on the 8th.
