Baseball Recap: Aptos Takes a Loss

If Aptos was riding high fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Los Altos on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mariners fell just short of the Harbor Pirates by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mariners in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost three in a row.

Aptos saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Garcia has hit this season.

Aptos' loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Harbor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

While Aptos had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
