Football Recap: Stony Point Tigers vs. Cedar Ridge Raiders

Stony Point extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-4. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cedar Ridge Raiders. The Tigers gained 64 more yards on the day, but it was the Raiders that made the best use of them.

Stony Point's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Troyer, who threw for 363 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Trystin Rimes also helped out as he racked up 131 receiving yards.

As for Cedar Ridge, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 12-point performance the matchup before.

Cedar Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Snoga out in front who threw for 364 yards and three TDs while picking up 14.6 yards per attempt. Snoga's passing game has become a key predictor of the Raiders' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. 122 of Snoga's passing yards were hauled in by Christian Hall, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
