Basketball Game Preview: Nova Titans vs. South Broward Bulldogs

The Nova Titans will square off against the South Broward Bulldogs on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Nova is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cooper City 69-16. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Cowboys are ranked 436th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South Broward had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lightning with a sharp 58-37 victory.

Nova better keep an eye on Ayonna Lewis. She was instrumental in South Broward's win, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Lewis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Paris George was another key player, dropping a triple-double on ten points, 11 boards, and ten assists.

Nova is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for South Broward, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Everything came up roses for Nova against South Broward when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 63-17 victory. In that contest, Nova amassed a halftime lead of 46-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
