Baseball Recap: Gadsden County Comes Up Short

Gadsden County managed to slip by Wewahitchka the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Gadsden County came up short against Wewahitchka on Thursday, falling 23-3. The Jaguars just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Gadsden County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jac'Quez Bostick, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Adan Sweet, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Gadsden County's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Wewahitchka, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gadsden County will challenge Hamilton County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gadsden County is facing Hamilton County at the right time seeing as Hamilton County is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Wewahitchka, they will venture away from home to square off against Munroe at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Wewahitchka will need to watch out since Munroe has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
