Baseball Recap: Fairview Find Success

Fairview got themselves on the board against Trinity on Wednesday, but Trinity never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Trojans. The Warriors have beaten the Trojans the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

Dylan Sather was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Sather was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Brady Weir was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. Cooper Thomas was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Fairview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Fairview's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Trinity, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
