Softball Preview: Mt. Pleasant Oilers vs. Alpena Wildcats
After two games on the road, Mt. Pleasant is heading back home. They will take on the Alpena Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Mt. Pleasant will head into Thursday's matchup ready to turn things around: they lost a close one when they played on May 4th but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They lost 14-4 to Midland.
Meanwhile, Alpena scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Marquette 21-3. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Mt. Pleasant has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Alpena, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
