Recap: Daniel Lions vs. Wren Hurricanes
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Daniel Lions had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over Wren. Daniel's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Daniel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kolton Chapman, who rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 223 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Tory Shaw, who rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Daniel has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.43 points. As for Wren, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6.
Daniel's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Chester at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Chester is ranked 21st, while Daniel is ranked 14th). Wren does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
