Volleyball Recap: Burke's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Burke entered their tilt with Colome on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Cowboys 3-0. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Burke took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-9, 25-9.

Emmie Hausmann paced Burke's offense, picking up ten kills. Hausmann got some help from Breckynn Pistulka and her ten assists. Emmy Spencer controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Burke's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Colome, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Burke will challenge Platte/Geddes at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colome, they will face off against St. Francis Indian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
