Softball Recap: Biddeford Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Biddeford won the last time they faced Bonny Eagle and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Scots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Madi Roy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Roy was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jaylah Trottier was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Corinne Ramunno, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Biddeford pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bonny Eagle, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Biddeford has already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Noble on the 2nd. As for Bonny Eagle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Thornton Academy on the 30th.
