Baseball Recap: Tohopekaliga Victorious

While Tohopekaliga's win against Davenport wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tohopekaliga Tigers had just enough and edged out the Davenport Broncos 4-3 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Tohopekaliga got a great performance from Gabriel Hernandez as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Hernandez also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tohopekaliga is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tohopekaliga saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raiden Marcano, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory snapped Tohopekaliga's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Davenport, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Tohopekaliga will welcome Sunshine State Elite Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Davenport, they will head out on the road to square off against Poinciana at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
