Rocky Hill extended the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut III West this week by beating Weaver, 42-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Rocky Hill led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Beavers. Chris Young ran for 115 yards in the win.
David Coyne's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Troy Syme threw for 40 and one touchdown and Tommy Seaver had 31 yards receiving. Greg Marzilli helped Rocky Hill's passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Pedro Roman of Bloomfield is the league leader in passing yards this season with 408. He has also thrown four touchdowns. On the ground, the Terriers' Young has rushed for 1222 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Seaver. The Rocky Hill star has 12 catches for 310 yards.
A big matchup in Central Connecticut III West this week will be when Weaver takes on the Warhawks. Kevin Quinn's team is currently in fifth, while Bloomfield is in third.
Rocky Hill made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,493 from 6,424. The improvement came about via a 42-0 victory over the Beavers last week.
