Basketball Recap: Owen Jackson and Josh Hutchinson Secure Win for Oswego

Oswego won the last time they faced Northeast and things went their way on Monday too. The Oswego Indians put the hurt on the Northeast Vikings with a sharp 72-51 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Indians have posted since December 7, 2023.

Leading Oswego to victory were Josh Hutchinson and Owen Jackson. Hutchinson dropped a double-double on 30 points and 15 boards, while Jackson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Jackson a new career-high. Demitri Williamson was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win got Oswego back to even at 1-1.

Oswego wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-20 loss against Madison/Hamilton on the 10th. As for Northeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-44 victory against St. Paul on the 10th.
