Basketball Recap: Rossville's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rossville waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over the Winamac Warriors.

Rossville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Burkle, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Burkle is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caydence Robey, who posted 14 points.

Rossville was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winamac only racked up five assists.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadie Popejoy, who put up 15 points and three steals. Kandace Kroft was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Rossville's record is now 9-4. As for Winamac, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Rossville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-47 loss against Pioneer on the 4th. As for Winamac, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-51 win against Delphi Community on the 4th.
