Diego Montes Dazzles in Kennedy Victory

Starting off the list is Kennedy's Diego Montes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Montes rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 148 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 124 rushing yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Montes might just drop another big game when he faces off against Panorama on Thursday. Montes rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes the last time he and the Pythons duked it out back in October of 2023.

Carlos Herrera Delivers Best Effort of Season

Carlos Herrera produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Van Nuys to the win on Friday. Herrera threw for 240 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The victory (which was Van Nuys' third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Herrera and Van Nuys will take on Sylmar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

San Fernando's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Luvon Nolen

San Fernando's three-game losing streak is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Luvon Nolen. Panorama had no answer to Nolen on Friday as he rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown.

San Fernando's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. Nolen and San Fernando will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Reseda at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Daniel Hernandez put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He made five total tackles.

Sylmar moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. Hernandez and Sylmar will take on Van Nuys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Sylmar Gets a Boost from Mcdonald in 56-28 Defeat

Another Sylmar player making an appearance on this list is Jacob Mcdonald. He threw for 200 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.

Mcdonald is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Van Nuys on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mcdonald saw the Wolves), he rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
