Softball Recap: Rivera Raiders vs. Porter Cowboys
If Rivera was feeling good fresh off their 17-5 takedown of Donna last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rivera Raiders fell just short of the Porter Cowboys by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Danna Ramirez put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.
