It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Fisher Gators 2-1. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 win the Gators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Jeremy Gibson spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy is undefeated when Gibson allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Hayden Chastant was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Gavin Gibson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Fisher, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6-1.
