Softball Preview: Maricopa Rams vs. Canyon del Oro Dorados
For the first time this season, Maricopa will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Monday. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Canyon del Oro Dorados at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Maricopa is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Cholla on Thursday. Everything went Maricopa's way against Cholla as Maricopa made off with a 16-1 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Elizabeth Deupree made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. In other batting news, Maricopa got a massive performance out of Alanee Calderon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Hailee Klutz - Phillips was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
Maricopa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Canyon del Oro put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Nogales get on the board and left with an 18-0 win.
Maricopa's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Canyon del Oro, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
