Basketball Recap: Chamberlain Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Chamberlain couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Booker Tornadoes 61-20 on Tuesday. The match marked the Storm's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Booker was led to victory by Yvette Brown and Jsiyah Taylor. Brown made all 7 shots she took racking up 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals, while Taylor made all 7 shots she took for 15 points and three steals. Brown has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Marayah Stuart, who posted ten points and six steals.

Chamberlain's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Booker, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Chamberlain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Booker, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against DeSoto County at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with DeSoto County sitting on six straight wins and Booker on nine.
