Baseball Recap: Riverview Comes Up Short

Riverview has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against the South Side Rams, falling 16-2. That makes it the first time this season the Raiders have let down their home crowd.

Riverview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Duncan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Riverview's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for South Side, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

While Riverview had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
