Baseball Recap: Excel Has No Trouble Against Pike Road

Excel posted their biggest victory since April 20, 2024 on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Pike Road Patriots with a sharp 12-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Holden Stacey was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and four runs. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Williams, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Excel's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Pike Road, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Excel will venture away from home to face off against Blacksher at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pike Road, they will take on Smiths Station at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
