Recap: Red Cloud Warriors vs. Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves
The Red Cloud Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Exeter-Milligan. Red Cloud was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Exeter-Milligan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Red Cloud lost, one person who can't be blamed is Avery Fangmeyer. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Fangmeyer scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelynn Minnick, who scored six points.
Red Cloud has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Exeter-Milligan, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Red Cloud will be playing at home against Rock Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Hills is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Exeter-Milligan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
