Volleyball Recap: The Grove School Comes Up Short

The Grove School lost against Crossroads Christian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ravens came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-6, 25-12.

Victoria Montaghami paced The Grove School's offense, picking up four kills. Montaghami got some help from Azelea Azri and her four assists. Montaghami was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Karla Garcia was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 25 assists and ten aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in kills (four).

The Grove School now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Crossroads Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, The Grove School will take on Cornerstone Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crossroads Christian, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Mesa Grande Academy on the 10th.
