Volleyball Game Preview: Trenton Tigers vs. Sam Rayburn Rebels

The Trenton Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Sam Rayburn Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trenton is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Trenton and Collinsville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Collinsville scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Sam Rayburn came up short against Tioga on Friday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-15.

Sam Rayburn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Trenton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
