Basketball Recap: Reedley Comes Up Short

Reedley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kerman Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-61 back in January.

Daniel Bibioff was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 20 en route to 36 points for Kerman. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Bibioff has scored at least a third of Kerman's points. Another player making a difference was Von Bibioff, who posted 13 points.

Reedley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Kerman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Reedley has already played their next game (against Immanuel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kerman will square off against Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kerman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests.
