Basketball Recap: Concrete Comes Up Short

Concrete lost against Friday Harbor back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Concrete Lions took a blow against the Friday Harbor Wolverines, falling 67-14. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Pierce Kleine continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Friday Harbor, going 9 of 17 en route to 23 points. Kleine's evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jackson Feliz was another key player, putting up eight points.

Concrete has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Friday Harbor, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-12 record this season.

Concrete will venture away from home to take on Darrington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concrete is facing Darrington at the right time seeing as Darrington is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Friday Harbor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Vernon Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Vernon Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Friday Harbor likes a good challenge.
