Softball Recap: Georgetown Visitation Prep Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paul VI, Georgetown Visitation Prep was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They skirted past Holton-Arms 6-4. The Cubs haven't had any issues with Holton-Arms recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Sami Farmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucie Touomou, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Kat Pickett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

The win got Georgetown Visitation Prep back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Georgetown Visitation Prep will take on School Without Walls at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Holton-Arms, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on National Cathedral at 4:15 p.m. on April 2.
