Baseball Recap: Sheldon Gets the Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sheldon). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over the South O'Brien Wolverines on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Orabs in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won eight in a row.

Sheldon's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for South O'Brien, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Sheldon will venture away from home to take on West Lyon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Orabs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South O'Brien, they will be playing at home against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
