Softball Game Preview: Williston Red Devils vs. Chiefland Indians

For the first time this season, Williston will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Chiefland Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Williston came up short against Columbia and fell 4-1.

Meanwhile, Chiefland hadn't done well against Bell recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Indians walked away with a 10-6 win over the Bulldogs. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chiefland's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Williston, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Everything went Williston's way against Chiefland in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Williston made off with a 16-1 win. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
