Volleyball Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. Westminster Wolves

The Alameda Pirates will challenge the Westminster Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Alameda lost 3-0 to D'Evelyn on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Westminster suffered their biggest defeat since March 18th on Tuesday. They came up short against Boulder, falling 3-0.

While Westminster was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Boulder's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 26-24.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Westminster, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
