Softball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Northeastern hit Union County with a six-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots came up short against the Knights, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Harly Pilgrim made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Rudnick, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Union County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Northeastern, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Union County will welcome Edinburgh at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northeastern, they will venture away from home to take on Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
