Volleyball Game Preview: Forest Park Rangers vs. Jasper Wildcats

Forest Park is 0-10 against Jasper since October of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Rangers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Forest Park beat Mt. Vernon 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-8, 23-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Jasper had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Jasper walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-20.

Forest Park better focus on containing Nora Breitwieser and Haley Atkins as the pair were huge in Jasper's win. Breitwieser had 12 digs and five aces, while Atkins had seven digs and one assist. That's the most aces Breitwieser has posted since back in October of 2024.

Jasper was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.

Jasper's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Forest Park, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.
