Baseball Recap: New Glarus Comes Up Short

The New Glarus Glarner Knights didn't have quite enough to beat the Dodgeville Dodgers on Monday and fell 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Glarner Knights have lost by just one run.

New Glarus saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlin Mihlbauer, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

This is the second loss in a row for New Glarus and nudges their season record down to 9-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Dodgeville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Glarus will face off against Waterloo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dodgeville, they will square off against Richland Center at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dodgers are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
