Basketball Game Preview: Meigs Marauders vs. Trimble Tomcats

The Meigs Marauders are taking a road trip to face off against the Trimble Tomcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meigs will be strutting in after a win while Trimble will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with 12 losses in a row dating back to last season, Meigs turned things around against Hannan on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 46-24 margin over the Wildcats. The Marauders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Trimble played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 47-15 loss at the hands of Waterford. The defeat continues a trend for the Tomcats in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meigs' victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-11. As for Trimble, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Meigs strolled past Trimble in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 72-58. Does Meigs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trimble turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
