Yuma won against Cortez last Tuesday with 22 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Criminals didn't even let the Tempe Buffaloes on the board, marking the Criminals' second-straight 22-0 shutout. Considering the Criminals have won 12 matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kevin Garcia made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Garcia was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Yuma got a massive performance out of Eli Lujan, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Deven Aguirrebarrena was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Yuma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in six consecutive games.

Yuma is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tempe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Yuma will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Buffaloes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
