Baseball Recap: Moore County Takes a Loss

Moore County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-5 to the Eagleville Eagles. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Peyton Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Moore County's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 2-1 (and 6-10-1 when he doesn't).

Moore County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Eagleville, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.

While Moore County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
