Football Recap: Hixson Piles Up the Points Against Chattanooga Central + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hixson). They blew past the Chattanooga Central Pounders 41-8 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 33 points.

Hixson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adryoun Ad Stewart, who rushed for 59 yards and two scores on only five carries. Ad Stewart also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss). Rikeyon Burney was another key rusher, gaining 76 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hixson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Hixson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Burney and Montrella Williams Jr..

The win made it two in a row for Hixson and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 points in those games. As for Chattanooga Central, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hixson will challenge Red Bank at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chattanooga Central, they will square off against Brainerd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Pounders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
