Hebron took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Ridge Point, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hawks had just enough and edged out the Panthers 5-4 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Lilly Pirrello was incredible, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Huckabee, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Hebron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in four consecutive games.

Hebron's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ridge Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Hebron will take on Monterey in a tournament on Friday. The Plainsmen's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ridge Point, they will be taking part in a tournament against Rockwall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
