The Sheldon Huskies will challenge the Vista del Lago Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sheldon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Sheldon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Pioneer on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Sheldon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Regan Wise, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Madison Cloward also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, Vista del Lago also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Rocklin by a score of 7-3.

Vista del Lago also got a good showing from Alayna Piexto, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Peyton Huber was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Sheldon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Vista del Lago, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
