Volleyball Recap: Telesis Prep's Undefeated Season over After 13 Games

Telesis Prep suffered their biggest defeat since September 4, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Wickenburg Christian Academy Lion, falling 3-0. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Telesis Prep was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-13.

Danny O'Neal paced Telesis Prep's offense, picking up four kills. O'Neal got some help from Chloe Blilie and her nine assists. Blilie also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kayleen Graybeal, each putting up two.

Wickenburg Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenny Blodgett out in front who had five digs and three aces. Those five digs gave Blodgett a new career-high. Kamerin Earls was another key player, getting eight kills, four digs, and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Telesis Prep fell to 12-1. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Telesis Prep has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against American Heritage Academy on the 22nd. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Roosevelt Preparatory Academy on the 21st.
