Basketball Recap: Perry Hall Christian Comes Up Short

Perry Hall Christian lost against Mount Airy Christian Academy on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The matchup between Perry Hall Christian and Mount Airy Christian Academy didn't end well, with Perry Hall Christian falling 45-31.

Mount Airy Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Avery Witter, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Witter is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Madison Apolenis, who posted seven points and 17 rebounds.

Perry Hall Christian's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mount Airy Christian Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry Hall Christian will challenge Redeemer Classical Christ at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Airy Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Maryland School for the Deaf), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
