Everything went Wiregrass Ranch's way against Academy at the Lakes on Thursday as Wiregrass Ranch made off with a 22-4 win. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Bulls this season.

Reagan Beagle was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Sophia Estevez was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Chloe Troupe was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Wiregrass Ranch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Cypress Creek came up short against Sunlake on Thursday and fell 6-1. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cypress Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Fuglesang, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases.
Wiregrass Ranch's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs over those games. As for Cypress Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wiregrass Ranch hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .403. However, it's not like Cypress Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .404. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
