Derrick Jones owns City of Palms slam dunk contest

Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, Pa.) got off to a rough start in Fort Myers, Fla., for the prestigious City of Palms Classic. The Patriots lost their first two games and are now a bit of an afterthought at the event in the consolation bracket.

But Carroll senior Derrick Jones – a 6-foot-7 small forward headed to UNLV – gave his teammates and fans at Bishop Verot High School a memory to cherish Sunday night by making the dunk contest a bit of a non-contest.
