Soccer Game Preview: Snow Canyon vs. Cedar

The Snow Canyon Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Cedar Reds at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Canyon is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Snow Canyon is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Pine View 8-1 on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Snow Canyon's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Pine View are ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Cedar made sure to put some goals up on the board against Dixie on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Flyers by a score of 4-2. The victory continues a trend for Cedar in their matchups with Dixie: they've now won five in a row.

Cedar hit Dixie with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from TyLee Nielson (2), Scarlett Guillen, and TynzLee Nielson.

Snow Canyon's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Cedar, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Snow Canyon was able to grind out a solid victory over Cedar when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
