Softball Recap: North Sanpete Wins Going Away Against Richfield

North Sanpete had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Richfield on Thursday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-1 win. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.

McKenzie Madsen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted over her last ten games. Alivia Madsen was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North Sanpete kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

North Sanpete pushed their record up to 14-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Richfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.
