If Eastern was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tri-Central last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wabash Apaches on Tuesday. The Comets' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 25-15.

Mackenzie Appleton paced Eastern's offense, picking up 16 kills. Appleton got some help from Savannah Smith and her 18 assists. Gracie Petty controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Amaya Sellers had a dynamite game For Wabash., getting 20 digs and three assists. Sellers has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Wabash, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Eastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Clinton Central on the 18th. As for Wabash, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northwestern on the 18th.
