Baseball Recap: Teton Comes Up Short

If Teton was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Declo last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timberwolves fell just short of the American Falls Beavers by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Beavers: they've now lost five in a row.

Will Wright made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Gavin Crow was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Teton's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for American Falls, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Looking ahead, Teton will face off against Sugar-Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Diggers have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for American Falls, they will square off against Bear Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Beavers are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
